Managing Pinterest for clients means staying organized, being strategic, and using the right Pinterest tools to keep things running behind the scenes. From keyword research to pin design to scheduling content that actually gets seen, every step needs a system that saves time and gets results.

We’re always testing new tools and tweaking our process to figure out what works best. Some platforms stick around, others get swapped out, but these are the ones we’re using across our client accounts right now.

You definitely don’t need every tool on this list to succeed. But if you’re looking to streamline your Pinterest workflow and focus on what’s actually working, these are our current favorites worth checking out.

How We Use These 7 Pinterest Tools to Drive Growth for Clients

Google Drive

Our Pinterest HQ. We use Google Drive for client collaboration, keyword banks, monthly analytics reports, and client information. It keeps our team (and clients) organized without the tech headache. If you’re managing multiple accounts, having one go-to home for everything is a game-changer.

PinClicks

This tool is our secret weapon for keyword research and tracking rankings. PinClicks pulls real-time keyword data straight from Pinterest so we can see exactly what people are searching for. Instead of guessing, we’re able to find high-ranking, relevant phrases that actually help our clients get seen in search, without any keyword stuffing.

Pin Inspector

Similar to PinClicks, Pin Inspector is another tool for tracking keywords. It’s a desktop application designed to help you get insider info on top performing pins. We use it for keyword research, to see top-performing pins, trending content types, and even competitor insights. It helps us double down on what’s actually moving the needle.

Tailwind

Tailwind is our Pinterest scheduler of choice. It lets us queue up content weeks in advance (Pinterest only lets you schedule 2 weeks out), see everything visually, and post at the best possible times. It’s one of the ONLY Pinterest approved platforms for scheduling pins, which is important when it comes to performance.

Pinterest Trends

Pinterest Trends is a tool from Pinterest that gives us insight into what’s about to pop off, so we can adjust our content plan before things get saturated. It’s also a great resource when we’re pitching seasonal content ideas to clients who want to stay relevant without chasing trends on Instagram. We give them a trend update in our monthly check-ins.

Notion

This is where we map out each client’s strategy. From content plans and link tracking to weekly to-dos, Notion helps us stay on the same page (literally). It’s also our go-to for keeping track of what we’ve pinned, analytics, etc.

Jetpack (WordPress Plugin)

This simple little plugin allows visitors to easily pin images directly from a client’s blog, which helps boost shares, traffic, and reach without lifting a finger. We always recommend enabling this feature if you’re creating blog content, especially if you want Pinterest to do the heavy lifting long-term. There are several other plugins that can do this as well!

Finding your Pinterest rhythm takes time. What works for one account might not work for another, and that’s okay. These are the tools we’re loving right now because they help us stay organized, save time, and actually enjoy the process of managing content.

If you’re just getting started, don’t stress about having the perfect system. Start simple. Test what works. Keep what feels good. The goal is to make Pinterest feel like a natural part of your marketing and not another thing on your never-ending to-do list.

And when you’re ready for it to feel a whole lot easier? That’s what we’re here for. Learn more about our Pinterest services.
