Find me On INstagram

When I say watching a client’s pageviews jump from 107 to over 1,500 in just four months is rewarding, I mean it. But how exactly did we get there? Pinterest marketing at its finest.

Let’s walk through the process. Because if you’re starting a blog, you’re probably wondering: How do I grow my traffic without spending hours trying to figure it all out?

How It All Began

An client came to me after managing her brand on Pinterest herself for a while. She already had a solid Instagram presence (hence why she was teaching on it!), but while she was getting initial traction on Pinterest, she knew it could blow up more if she handed it over to a specialist.

She quickly realized her time could be better spent elsewhere, so she asked me to take the reins on Pinterest management while she focused on growing her passive income streams.

The First Step: A Full Audit

We started with a detailed audit of her account and competitor research. Her pins were visually appealing, but they weren’t as strategic as they could be. Her video content was the real gem, and it was clear that Gen Z loved her aesthetic. So, we made video pins the star of the show.

A Little Background on the Client

She’s an online educator who wanted to increase traffic to her blog, which funnels into her digital courses. So, we focused on making her blog posts and Instagram Reels work harder on Pinterest.

Month-by-Month Breakdown

  • Before we started: 107 outbound clicks.
  • Month 1: 200 clicks. We optimized her existing pins and created new ones with better SEO and visuals, which gave us a quick win.
  • Month 2: 160 clicks. A slight dip is normal, so we adjusted our strategy, focusing on posting consistency.
  • Month 3: 800 clicks. We introduced video and carousel pins, plus started using Pinterest Ads, and the results spoke for themselves.
  • Month 4: 1,510 clicks. Our strategy was now fully in motion, combining organic efforts with targeted ads to really drive traffic.

Our Game-Changing Strategy

  • Pin Glow-Up: We revamped her pins with strategic keywords and bold, scroll-stopping visuals, making sure every link hit the right spot.
  • Amping Up Video: Her audience was all about video, so we leaned in—cranking out video pins and repurposing her Instagram Reels to work their magic on Pinterest.
  • Stay Consistent, Stay Relevant: We created a solid posting schedule with a mix of different types of content on Tailwind to keep her content in the mix and top of mind for her audience.
  • Data-Driven Tweaks: Using Pinterest Analytics, we tracked every move and adjusted the plan to boost performance. Plus, connecting with her audience through comments and repins helped keep the momentum going strong.

In just four months, her outbound clicks skyrocketed from 107 to over 1,500. The best part? This traffic didn’t just hit her blog—it translated into potential clients for her courses and products, too.
